- cover it with a clean dry dressing

- Tall Grass Prairie and Eastern Deciduous Forest- fields, prairies, open woods (Late Summer/Early Fall)
- Active chemical ingredient: sesquiterpene lactones
- Uses: treats minor cuts, sores, scrapes, swellings
- Preparation: tea using the root (can be applied topically), poultice, external wash
